What Happened In The Actual War?

When the war started, all the troops were ready and all the problems were solved. At the beginning, the Confederacy was doing very well under the supervision of their generals, until one in particular took power. This was General Ulysses S. Grant, a maniac and drunkard. On several occasions, General Grant showed up to the wrong battlefield. He even was three hours late to two of the largest battles in the war-Shiloh and Gettysburg, (Dr. Sweeny, 4). The next invitation given to Grant from Lincoln, was an invitation to surrender, (Dr. Sweeny, 5). The ‘Treaty of Ghent,’ signed on June 15, 1845 was what brought the war to an end, (Dr. Sweeny, 6). As you can see, there is a lot more to write about before the war than about the actual war itself.
